In this video blog, product engineer Joni Partanen demonstrates how to connect in analog output mode and test HPP270 vaporizing hydrogen peroxide probe.HPP270 probe can also through the digital way to connect,Another video on this topic introduced separately. In this demo, we focus on how to use the analog output (mA) connect the probe to control system.

Here I have a in the process of biological purificationUsed for measuring evaporation HPP270 probe of hydrogen peroxide. The probe can measure the concentration of the vH2O2 and humidity, as wellThe relative degree of saturation.Basically, we can through two different ways to connect the probe to control systems, or data acquisition system. You can use it as a independent probe to connect or use visa host devices (Indigo data processing unit) connection, the second way can provide extra functionality.
The independent probe has two analog output channel, it can also be connected to the Modbus RTU digital communication (Watch the video of the method). If you decide to use visaIndigo200orIndigo500Series data processing unit, you will get additional functionality, such as local display, analog output more and more digital communication options.
Reading blogs"I need Indigo data processing unit or just need Indigo probe?", know more information about the Indigo data processing unit
This video blog demonstrates how to use analog output will HPP270 used as an independent probe. The probe with two analog output. The first analog output channel measuring evaporation concentration of hydrogen peroxide. The default in within the range 0 to 2000 PPM vH2O2 concentration measurement.Another channel between 0 and 100% RS within the range of measuring relative saturation (percentage).
In addition to the analog output, there is also a function of chemicals to remove contact. This function for maintaining HPP270 series probe the stability and accuracy is very important. If I am not in my simple deployment automation system, the function, so I will need to periodically remove, usually for a 24 hours a day.
I have configured the automation system, make it match the analog output of the probe set.The next step signal validation is needed. To demonstrate, I want to check whether the probe can be 1000 PPM of relative density and 50% saturation value correct output to the automation system.Let us to simulate these values. It would use the USB cable and laptop Insight PC software (installed). After connect and detect probe, will begin to run removal cycle. We temporarily don't pay attention to clear first, we want to testing analog output. So, in Insight, PC software, let's go to the "Configure Device" (configuration) equipment.
[3:57] choose "Analog output 1" (Analog output. 1).This is for hydrogen peroxide configuration. In "the Output parameter" (Output parameters) drop-down list, we can choose A special parameter "A TEST".Then we need to define the test output level. To Test the 1000 PPM, we need to "Test the output level" (Test output level) is set to 12.000 ma.For the "Analog output 2" (2) Analog output, we have configured for relative saturation output. We will change it to "TEST", to probe configuration into simulation model. Then we will Test the output level "(Test output level) is set to 4.000 ma, this is equivalent to a 0% relative saturation. And then save the test set.
[4:57] now we probe can be wired back to automation system to view the simulation values.Channel 1 output now is 12 ma, equivalent to 1000 PPM.That is to say, our automated system is read correctly the probe value.Channel 2 output now is 4 ma, equivalent to 0% of the relative degree of saturation.Automation system and analog signals in general are not perfect; That is why there will be some error signal (RS) 1001 PPM and - 0.03%, but the reading has been very close.
[5:50] will probe sets the measurement model is very important. To do this, I will probe to connect to my PC to delete my use Insight input analog value.Connect the probe will automatically start running after removal cycle.Return to "Configure Device" (configuration) equipment."The Output parameter" (Output parameters) are hydrogen peroxide, ranging from 0 to 2000, exactly right.Channel 2 is relative to the saturation, the range is 0 to 100%.Save these Settings, the probe will return with the value of the output we want.
[so] now let we will probe to reconnect to the automation system. As usual, to connect this probe, will start cleaning procedures.Clear about two minutes. We can see that the analog signal output 3.6 milliampere now, suggesting that no real-time readings.I stop video first, such as clear finish and come back when we ready for online measurement.
[began] we demonstrated how to HPP270 (HPP272 model) is used as the independent probe using analog output. We can also through the Modbus RTU digital communication using independent probe. You canWatch this video...
