Polymerization control in nitrile butadiene rubber production

By varying temperatures NBR producers manufacture hot and cold polymers. Specialty NBR polymers are obtained by adjusting ratios of Acrylonitrile (ACN) and butadiene (BD), or adding a third monomer (e.g. divinyl benzene and methacrylic acid).
